An unfortunate, and fatal, accident occurred on Thursday July, 24th in Croton, New York when a motorcyclist from New York City was killed when his motorcycle collided with a Bee-Line bus from Westchester County on North Riverside Avenue (also known as route 9A) around 8pm at night.
Fortunately nobody on the bus was hurt during this motorcycle accident. The bus driver reported that "it was like an explosion. The bike got broken in three pieces and the body got thrown maybe 25 feet in the air... By the time I got to the body there was no pulse."
There is a lot of speculation of what caused the motorcycle accident but the investigation is on going. The bus driver suspects that the motorist was speeding and that was a factor in what led to the crash. Investigators believe he was in the process of exiting route 9 when something wrong. It was reported that he could of been traveling with two other motorcyclist through Croton because two bikes were parked outside of the crime scene but this has not been verified.
